# Inbox

Mail as it arrives in your own mailbox.

**Inbox** holds mail as it arrives in this mailbox, newest first. It's the real Outlook Inbox behind the mailbox, so what you see here matches Outlook, apart from anything you've archived or deleted in TeamEmail.

![Eleanor Whitfield's mailbox expanded under My Mailboxes with its Inbox selected, listing mail addressed to her personally: a Q4 supplier review request from Roger Attlee, a framework renewal from Yvonne Braithwaite, a site visit request from Miriam Cobbold and an annual spend review from Doreen Kasprzak.](https://www.neuracrm.com/help/teamemail/my-mailboxes/inbox-cropped.png)

Unlike a shared inbox, a personal Inbox has no Unassigned or Assigned tabs: it's all yours. Reading a message here marks it read in Outlook too. To mark one unread again, point to it in the list and select the eye button, **Mark as unread**. That changes it in TeamEmail only.

> **Note:**

> A conversation can sit in this Inbox and also show up in My work if it's assigned to you. They're two ways of looking at the same mail. See [What my work is](/teamemail/help-docs/my-work/what-my-work-is).
